Open the explorer and toggle the dipole and small-scale anisotropies to see the components of the oldest light in the universe.

  1. Open https://freetoolonline.com/space-3d/cmb-sky.html and wait for the all-sky map.
  2. Read the facts panel: 2.7255 K monopole, 3.36 mK dipole, ~18 microkelvin anisotropy.
  3. Toggle the dipole off to remove the warm/cool hemisphere from our motion.
  4. Toggle the anisotropies to reveal the exaggerated small-scale ripples.
  5. Compare with Expanding Universe 3D for cosmic expansion, or Black Body Radiation 3D for the 2.7 K blackbody spectrum.
