Open the explorer and watch why eclipses skip most months.

  1. Open https://freetoolonline.com/space-3d/lunar-nodes-eclipse-seasons.html and wait for Earth, the Sun and the tilted Moon orbit.
  2. Note the blue Moon orbit crossing the ecliptic at the two coloured nodes.
  3. Watch the Sun travel the ecliptic toward a red eclipse zone.
  4. See the status flip to ECLIPSE SEASON when the Sun reaches a node.
  5. Use the speed slider and read the panel for the 5 degree tilt and 173 day figures.
