Planet Size Comparison 3D Explorer Step by Step

The Planet Size Comparison 3D Explorer starts as soon as the page loads: drag to orbit the Sun-through-Neptune lineup, scroll or pinch to zoom, and click Earth (or any world button) to highlight it while the camera nudges closer. Everything renders on your own device - no install, no account.

Step 1 - wait for the scene

Wait until the status line under the canvas says to drag to orbit. The facts panel fills with Earth highlighted and a table of NASA mean radii from Sun 696,340 km through Neptune 24,622 km.

Step 2 - highlight a world

Click Jupiter to highlight its sphere at 69,911 km, then Saturn at 58,232 km. Each button tints the selected world and updates the panel heading with that world's radius.

Step 3 - spin or pause

Press Pause spin to freeze the lineup for a screenshot, or Play spin to rotate slowly. Fullscreen keeps the world buttons and panel visible while you orbit the view with drag and scroll.
