Open the explorer and watch the real ALMA-measured rings and gaps take shape around HL Tau.

  1. Open https://freetoolonline.com/space-3d/protoplanetary-disk.html and wait for the star and the particle disk to appear.
  2. Watch the disk turn slowly and spot the brighter rings and darker gaps.
  3. Press the Gaps button to mark the seven measured gap radii and their candidate clearing sites.
  4. Use the speed slider to speed up or slow down the disk's turning.
  5. Read the facts panel for the real AU distances and the star's age and distance.
