How to Play Starlight Breaker - Step by Step

The Starlight Breaker page loads an ~84 KB Canvas brick-breaker in an iframe. You control a deer paddle, bounce a star ball through bricks, and clear the board before you run out of three lives.

Press Play on the page, then START GAME inside the iframe. Move the paddle with mouse or touch drag. Esc or Pause opens the pause menu. High scores persist under ftol:starlightbreaker:highScores in localStorage only.

Step 1 - launch the iframe

Press Play on the game page. The iframe loads index.html, styles.css, game.js, deer.svg, and start.svg (~84 KB total).

Step 2 - start a run

Click START GAME on the title menu. On mobile, dismiss the touch guide if shown - preference saves to ftol:starlightbreaker:hasSeenTouchGuide.

Step 3 - control the deer paddle

Move the mouse over the canvas or drag your finger on touch devices. The paddle follows horizontally; keep the star ball above the paddle.

Step 4 - pause, scores, and saves

Press Esc or tap Pause to freeze play. Open High Scores from the main menu to view local records. Clear Scores wipes ftol:starlightbreaker:highScores. No account, no cloud sync, zero server calls during play.

See when to play in the browser, how it compares, Chili Blast Shooter, and Cyber Slide Puzzle.

Why trust these tools

  • Ten-plus years of web tooling. The freetoolonline editorial team has shipped browser-based utilities since 2015. The goal has never changed: get you to a working output fast, without an install.
  • No install, no sign-up. Open a tool and get a working output in seconds - nothing to download and no account to create. Tools that need heavy processing run it on our service, so even a low-powered machine gets the job done.
  • Analytics stops at the page view. We measure which pages get visited, not what you type or upload inside a tool. There is nothing to sign in to and no profile is attached to your input.
  • Open-source core components. The processing engines underneath (libheif, libde265, pdf-lib, terser, clean-css, ffmpeg.wasm, and others) are public and audit-able. We link to each one in its tool page's footer.
  • Free, with or without ads. All tools are fully functional without sign-up. The Disable Ads button in the header is always available if you need a distraction-free run.
