How to use the to-do list

  1. Type an item in the box and press Enter, or use the Add button, to append it to the list.
  2. Click an item's checkbox to mark it done or undo it.
  3. Use the remove button to delete an item you no longer need.

Everything stays in this browser via local storage, so the list survives a page reload, with no app to install and no sign-in.

No items yet. Add your first one above.

    To-Do List

Keep a todo list in the browser - add, check off, and delete items. It is handy for a quick checklist when you do not want to install an app or sign in, and a running count shows how many items you have and how many are still left to do.

Each item gets a checkbox to mark it done and a button to remove it. The list is saved in this browser via local storage, so it survives a page reload; clearing this site's browser data removes it.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Will my items still be here on another device or browser?

No. The list lives only in the browser you typed it in - there is no account, login, or cross-device sync. Open the page on your phone or in a different browser and you start with an empty list. Clearing this site's browser data wipes the saved list on that one browser.

Can I undo a deleted item, or set due dates and priorities?

Deleting an item is immediate and there is no undo history for it. Marking an item done is reversible - tick the checkbox again to bring it back. The list is one flat checklist, so there are no due dates, reminders, priorities, tags, or sub-tasks.

What happens to my list in a private or incognito window?

It works the same while the window is open, but most browsers discard local storage when you close a private window, so the list is gone on the next visit. For a list you want to keep, use a normal browser window instead.
