Initializing, please wait a moment

Pick the summary length (key bullets, a short paragraph, or a detailed digest) and copy the result with one click.

  1. Paste or type the text you want shortened into the input box - a sample text and its summary are already on screen, so you can see the output shape before pasting anything.
  2. Choose the summary length: key bullets, a short paragraph, or a detailed digest.
  3. Press Summarize. The status line names which engine produced the result: your browser's built-in AI, an on-device model you loaded, or the instant no-model pass.
  4. For a model-written summary, press Load model once - the download size is shown before it starts, and the model is cached for later visits.
  5. Press Copy to put the summary on your clipboard. The text you paste stays in this browser tab on every engine.

Text Summarizer - Private, In Your Browser

Condense a long text into its key points, right in the browser - nothing you paste is uploaded anywhere. Once you have loaded an on-device model it stays cached, so later summaries work offline; when the job is really an open-ended question rather than a summary, use Private AI Chat, which draws on the same cached model.

A sample text and its basic summary render as a demo the moment the page loads, so you can see the output shape before pasting anything.

When your browser ships built-in AI the page uses it with zero download; otherwise load a small on-device model (size shown before download, cached for next time) or stay on the instant no-model mode, which is plain JavaScript in the page and needs no download at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this text summarizer do?

It shortens text you paste into its main points, in one of three shapes you choose before pressing Summarize: key bullet points, a short paragraph, or a detailed summary. All three run inside this browser tab, so the text you paste is never uploaded, and the result comes with a Copy button.

When is this the right tool to open?

Open it when a long block of text is already in front of you - an article, a report, a long thread - and you want the gist without handing the text to a server. It is a poor fit for the opposite jobs: it does not rewrite or paraphrase your wording, does not fix grammar, and cannot answer questions about the text, so a chat tool suits those better.

What other tools here work well alongside it?

Private AI Chat runs the same on-device models out of the same browser cache, so it is the one to open for follow-up questions instead of a summary. PDF to Text and Image to Text (OCR) pull the words out of a PDF or a screenshot first, so you have something to paste. Word Counter shows how far the summary cut the length.
