Pick a sound below, then click Play - the sleep timer is optional.
Ready. Pick a sound and click Play (audio needs a click to start in your browser).
White Noise & Ambient Sound Generator
Play white noise, pink noise, brown noise, or a synthesized ocean-waves sound right in this tab. Pick a sound, set the volume, and click Play - the audio needs one click to start because browsers block sound before you interact with the page.
An optional sleep timer (15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes) stops playback automatically and shows a live countdown, so this can run while you fall asleep, focus, or block out background noise without babysitting the tab. Switching sounds while one is already playing rebuilds it instantly - no reload needed.
Every sound here is generated on-device by the browser's Web Audio API at the moment you press Play. None of it is a recording - the "Ocean waves" mode is brown noise with a slow amplitude swell layered on top, not a sampled beach or rain track. No audio is uploaded, downloaded, or sent to a server, and the chosen sound, volume, and timer reset to their defaults on your next visit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is there no sound until I click Play?
Browsers block audio from starting before you interact with the page. The bar visualizer runs on load either way; Play starts the actual audio.
Is the ocean-waves sound a real recording?
No. Every sound here, including ocean waves, is synthesized on-device by the Web Audio API - nothing is a sampled or streamed audio file.
Is anything uploaded, recorded, or saved?
No. All synthesis and playback stay in this tab. The chosen sound, volume, and timer reset to their defaults the next time you visit.
Does it keep playing if I close the tab or lock my phone?
No. Playback stops when the tab closes, and most mobile browsers pause or throttle it once the screen locks.
