How to Explore the Io Plasma Torus 3D Explorer
Open the Io Plasma Torus 3D Explorer, cycle through its three real radial layers, and toggle the co-rotating bulge to watch a documented bright sector lap Io's much slower orbit.

- Click the layer button to cycle through all three layers together, the cold disk alone, the warm ribbon alone, and the extended hot torus alone.
- Read the facts panel after each click for that layer's published electron temperature, and, for the warm ribbon, Juno's peak density figure.
- Click the bulge button to show the co-rotating bright sector, then watch it sweep past Io's own orbit over a few seconds.
- Drag to orbit and scroll or pinch to zoom on the scene for a closer look at the layers and the bulge.
