Does the tool auto-detect whether I'm encoding or decoding?
Yes. Plain text encodes to Morse; input that looks like dots, dashes, spaces, and slashes decodes back to text - the convert button reads the input and picks the right direction.
What happens to a character the translator does not recognize?
It encodes or decodes as a single "?" symbol, and empty input is a no-op - the rest of the line still converts normally.
Can this play the Morse code as audio?
No. The tool converts between text and Morse code but does not play audio beeps or tone sequences, and it does not cover every prosign or non-Latin script.
