When it fits

Check a phone photo before posting it publicly. Confirm a JPEG still carries a shoot date for a handoff. Spot whether a travel image embeds GPS. Prefer a tab-local parse when the file must stay on this device.

What to expect

Choose an image, click Read Metadata, then review Camera, Date / Time, GPS, and Other groups. If GPS is present, a privacy warning and OpenStreetMap link appear; you can download a JPEG with metadata stripped via canvas re-encode. Parsing uses the vendored exifr library. Everything runs in the browser - no upload and no account.
