The Acrocanthosaurus facts panel lists length about 11-11.5 m (panel baseline 11.5 m), weight about 4.4-8.4 t (panel baseline 6.2 t), height about 3.5 m, era 125-100 Mya Early Cretaceous Antlers and Twin Mountains formations south-central North America, carnivore diet, named by J. Willis Stovall and Wann Langston in 1950 with best-known specimen NCSM 14345 Fran from Oklahoma. Tall neural spines interpreted as supporting neck/back musculature and a low muscular dorsal ridge rather than a tall Spinosaurus-style sail. Early Cretaceous North American apex predator. Soft-tissue color is an artistic reconstruction. Optional CC0/PD glTF (Model Magic via Printables 1768652) may swap in. This model is not a fossil-accurate skeleton.
