Becklespinax 3D Viewer runs an Early Cretaceous theropod known only from three vertebrae in your browser. Drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom, toggle a 1.8 m person for scale, and click the head, neck, body, a leg, or the tail for a fossil-sourced fact.


Open the Becklespinax page and take the camera

Open the Becklespinax 3D Viewer and wait for the facts panel to fill. Orbit with the pointer and zoom with the scroll wheel or a two-finger pinch. Fullscreen keeps the controls visible beside the scene. After first paint a license-clean glTF may swap in from the CDN; if that load fails the page stays on the procedural silhouette.

The Becklespinax facts panel lists length about 7.6-9 m (panel baseline 7.6 m per Gregory Paul 1988), weight about 1-1.8 t (panel baseline 1 t), height about 2.3 m, era 140-133 Mya Early Cretaceous Wadhurst Clay East Sussex England, carnivore diet, described by Richard Owen in 1856 and moved to Becklespinax by George Olshevsky in 1991. Known only from three fused dorsal vertebrae with unusually tall neural spines - no skull, limbs, or tail material. Low dorsal ridge NOT a Spinosaurus sail - same interpretation as the shipped Acrocanthosaurus viewer. Body, skull, and limbs are interpretive composite reconstructions. Soft-tissue color is an artistic reconstruction. Optional CC-BY-SA 4.0 glTF (seth the yutyrannus via Printables 1051754) may swap in. This model is not a fossil-accurate skeleton.
