What happens with a signature field, button, or other field type this tool cannot fill

PDF Form Filler Online recognizes five field types - text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns, radio groups, and multi-select lists - and renders the right control for each one. A field of any other type, such as a digital-signature field or a push-button, still shows up in the list but as a grayed-out box labeled "(unsupported field type - left unchanged)". That field is skipped when you click Fill & download PDF, so it comes back in the downloaded copy exactly as it was in the original file - nothing is cleared or overwritten on a field this tool does not understand.

One more detail worth knowing before you start filling: the label shown above each control is the PDF's own internal field name, read straight from the file - not a friendlier label this tool writes for you. If the person who built the original form named a field something like applicant_name or field_12, that is exactly what you will see above the input box.

Radio buttons and multi-select lists render as dropdowns here

A radio-group field in the source PDF - the kind you would normally click through as separate round buttons in a desktop PDF reader - shows up on this page as a single dropdown listing the same choices. Picking an option from that dropdown and downloading the filled PDF selects that same option in the underlying radio group, so the saved file behaves the same as if you had clicked the equivalent button in another PDF program.

A multi-select list field works a little differently: PDF Form Filler Online also renders it as a single-choice dropdown rather than a box that lets you Ctrl-click several entries at once. If the PDF arrived with more than one value already selected in that list, filling the form and downloading keeps only the one option you pick from the dropdown - the other pre-existing selections are not preserved. For a form where every value in a multi-select list must stay selected, fill that particular field in a different PDF program and use this tool for the rest of the form instead.
