Kentrosaurus in 3D ansehen
Kentrosaurus 3D Viewer runs a spike-tailed Late Jurassic stegosaur in your browser. Drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom, toggle a 1.8 m person for scale, and click head, a plate, a tail spike, or a leg for a fossil-sourced fact.
Open the Kentrosaurus page and take the camera
Open the Kentrosaurus 3D Viewer and wait for the facts panel to fill. Orbit with the pointer and zoom with the scroll wheel or a two-finger pinch. Fullscreen keeps the controls visible beside the scene. After first paint a license-clean glTF may swap in from the CDN; if that load fails the page stays on the procedural silhouette.
Use the four Kentrosaurus controls under the canvas
Under the Kentrosaurus canvas, four controls handle view and scale:
- Fullscreen - fills the display while keeping the buttons visible
- Stop rotation / Auto-rotate - freezes or resumes auto-spin
- Idle motion - adds subtle body sway; tap again for Stand still
- Size vs human - shows a 1.8 m person at the honest panel length ratio (4.25 m)
Read the Kentrosaurus facts panel and click a body part
The Kentrosaurus facts panel lists length about 4-4.5 m (largest known specimens up to about 5.5 m; panel baseline 4.25 m), weight about 700-1,600 kg (panel baseline 1,100 kg; estimates vary widely), era 152-151 Mya Late Jurassic Kimmeridgian, herbivore diet, named by Edwin Hennig in 1915 with thousands of bones excavated 1909-1912 at Tendaguru, Tanzania. At least 7 pairs of tail spikes plus plates along the neck/back - smaller overall and more heavily armed per unit length than the shipped Stegosaurus from a different continent (Tanzania vs North America). Soft-tissue color is an artistic reconstruction. Optional CC-BY-SA 4.0 glTF (seth the yutyrannus via Printables 757272) may swap in. This model is not a fossil-accurate skeleton.

This how-to is a controls walkthrough only - it does not place the model in your room (no AR), it does not invent a single midpoint mass outside the published 700-1,600 kg range, it does not claim a settled function for plates or tail spikes, and it does not invent game score or win states.
