Read the Ostafrikasaurus facts panel and click a body part
The Ostafrikasaurus facts panel lists holotype tooth about 46 mm (Buffetaut 2012) as the securely published measurement. Body length and mass are not known from fossils - this tooth-only taxon has no postcranial bones. The scene uses length 8 m and weight 1,150 kg only as a speculative reconstruction for the Size vs human toggle - never as measured values. Era Late Jurassic Tendaguru Formation Tanzania (exact stage debated), carnivore diet inferred from serrated spinosaurid-type tooth morphology, named by Eric Buffetaut in 2012 as Ostafrikasaurus crassiserratus. Soft-tissue color is an artistic reconstruction. Optional CC-BY-SA 4.0 glTF (seth the yutyrannus via Printables 1023409) may swap in. This model is not a fossil-accurate skeleton.
