Amargasaurus 3D Viewer runs an Early Cretaceous dicraeosaurid sauropod with twin neck spines in your browser. Drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom, toggle a 1.8 m person for scale, and click head, neck, body, leg, or tail for a fossil-sourced fact.


Open the Amargasaurus page and take the camera

Open the Amargasaurus 3D Viewer and wait for the facts panel to fill. Orbit with the pointer and zoom with the scroll wheel or a two-finger pinch. Fullscreen keeps the controls visible beside the scene. After first paint a license-clean glTF may swap in from the CDN; if that load fails the page stays on the procedural silhouette.

The Amargasaurus facts panel lists length about 9-13 m (panel baseline 10 m), weight about 2.5-4 t (panel baseline 3.2 t), height about 3.5 m, era 130-120 Mya Early Cretaceous La Amarga Formation Argentina, herbivore diet, named by Leonardo Salgado and Jose Bonaparte in 1991. Signature twin parallel rows of tall neural spines along the neck with the sail-like membrane vs keratin sheath debate disclosed as open, not settled. Dicraeosaurid with a relatively short neck compared with diplodocids. Soft-tissue color is an artistic reconstruction. Optional CC0/PD glTF (Model Magic via Printables 1771127) may swap in.
