Touchscreen Test

Check single and multi-touch contacts on a local test pad in the browser.

Key features

  • Enable touch listening arms the pad; the first touch or click on the pad also arms it.
  • touchstart, touchmove, and touchend update up to five contact dots and the status text.
  • A pointer fallback mirrors contacts for desktop browsers without a touchscreen, so a mouse works too.
  • Reset counters clears touches, moves, and maxFingers and hides the dots.
  • A status line is visible before your first touch, so you can confirm the pad is ready.

How to run the test

Click Enable touch listening, then touch or click the pad to see contact dots and counters. On a desktop without a touchscreen, click and drag with the mouse - the pointer fallback updates the same readout.

Privacy and data handling

Reset counters anytime; nothing is uploaded and no account is required. No camera or microphone permission is requested, and coordinates stay in this browser tab.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Touchscreen Test check?

Touch and pointer contacts on a local pad - up to five finger dots, move counts, and max fingers seen. Everything stays in the tab.

Do I need to allow camera or microphone access?

No. This tool uses touch and pointer events only - no getUserMedia and no camera or mic permission prompt.

Can I use a mouse on a desktop?

Yes. Click and drag on the pad after Enable - the same readout updates with a pointer fallback so you can verify the page without a touchscreen.

Is my touch input uploaded?

No. Counters and coordinates stay in the page session. Reset clears them; closing the tab drops them.
