How to Play Black Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

The Black Cat on a Hot Tin Roof page loads a ~16 KB rooftop runner in an iframe.

Click once to enable sound, then press Space (or tap) to start your 60-second run.

Step 1 - press Play

Press Play to inject the iframe (~16 KB). The title screen shows a black cat silhouette over a city skyline.

Step 2 - click once to enable sound

Click anywhere on the game once - this turns on audio (a browser requirement) and plays a short intro. A "Press Space to Play" (or "Tap to Play" on mobile) prompt then appears.

Step 3 - start the run

Press Space or click/tap to begin the 60-second countdown. Black Cat starts running across the rooftops automatically.

Step 4 - jump and clear obstacles

Press Space or click/tap to jump. Hold the button for a bigger jump, and press again in mid-air for a double jump. Clear spikes from the side and attack birds from above to score points.

Step 5 - collect power-ups and survive

Collect items that appear in the sky to gain Black Cat's super power. Survive the full 60 seconds to reach the Black Bird encounter. Your best score is saved automatically.

Why trust these tools

  • Ten-plus years of web tooling. The freetoolonline editorial team has shipped browser-based utilities since 2015. The goal has never changed: get you to a working output fast, without an install.
  • No install, no sign-up. Open a tool and get a working output in seconds - nothing to download and no account to create. Tools that need heavy processing run it on our service, so even a low-powered machine gets the job done.
  • Analytics stops at the page view. We measure which pages get visited, not what you type or upload inside a tool. There is nothing to sign in to and no profile is attached to your input.
  • Open-source core components. The processing engines underneath (libheif, libde265, pdf-lib, terser, clean-css, ffmpeg.wasm, and others) are public and audit-able. We link to each one in its tool page's footer.
  • Free, with or without ads. All tools are fully functional without sign-up. The Disable Ads button in the header is always available if you need a distraction-free run.
