How to Play Neon Energy Arena - Step by Step
The Neon Energy Arena page loads a ~90 KB neon arena roguelite in an iframe. You fight geometric enemies, switch four weapons, bank Energy, and buy permanent upgrades. Press Play to start.
Step 1 - press Play and Start run
Press Play to inject the iframe (~90 KB). On the start menu pick Start run for combat, or Upgrade shop to spend Energy. The engine is neon-deep-space by ou178 (MIT); LICENSE and CREDITS ship beside the game files.
Step 2 - fly, aim, and shoot
WASD moves the ship. Aim with the mouse and hold LMB to fire. Press F to cycle Pulse Blaster, Blast Shotgun, Photon Sniper, and Plasma Rail. Watch Weapon Lv and Speed on the HUD.
Step 3 - dash, bombs, and pickups
Press Shift to dash when Ready. Press Space to drop a bomb. Collect health, weapon, freeze, bomb, orbiter, and speed pickups that enemies drop. Dash cooldown shows as a bar when not Ready.
Step 4 - spend Energy in the shop
Between runs, open Upgrade shop. Energy buys Tactical Bomb, Orbiter Escort, Weapon Boost, Quantum Drive, Nano Armor, Time Dilate, Orbiter Expand, Cryo Core, and Recoil Damper. Each upgrade has a max level and rising cost.
Step 5 - pause, mute, and reset
Esc opens pause (Resume, Restart, Main menu). Mute toggles procedural audio. Reset save in the shop clears ftol:neonenergyarena:energy, upgrades, and high_score after confirm.

Why trust these tools
- Ten-plus years of web tooling. The freetoolonline editorial team has shipped browser-based utilities since 2015. The goal has never changed: get you to a working output fast, without an install.
- No install, no sign-up. Open a tool and get a working output in seconds - nothing to download and no account to create. Tools that need heavy processing run it on our service, so even a low-powered machine gets the job done.
- Analytics stops at the page view. We measure which pages get visited, not what you type or upload inside a tool. There is nothing to sign in to and no profile is attached to your input.
- Open-source core components. The processing engines underneath (libheif, libde265, pdf-lib, terser, clean-css, ffmpeg.wasm, and others) are public and audit-able. We link to each one in its tool page's footer.
- Free, with or without ads. All tools are fully functional without sign-up. The Disable Ads button in the header is always available if you need a distraction-free run.
