How to Play Asteroid Blaster - Step by Step
The Asteroid Blaster page runs a vector-style Canvas space shooter in a same-origin iframe. Click Play, then rotate, thrust, and fire at drifting rocks that split into smaller fragments. An alien ship occasionally fires back.
Step 1 - open the page
The launch panel, Play button, and status line render immediately. The game iframe does not load until you click Play.
Step 2 - click Play
Play injects the iframe at /games/asteroid-blaster/. The Canvas field shows the ship, rock outlines, and score. Total payload is about 245 KB (game code, jQuery, two WAV effects).
Step 3 - fly and shoot
Left/right arrows rotate. Hold up to thrust (speed is capped). Space fires. The play field wraps at every edge - fly or shoot off one side and you reappear on the opposite side.
Step 4 - clear rocks and waves
Each rock hit splits into three smaller fragments until pieces are small enough to destroy outright. Clearing the field starts the next wave with one more rock, capped at twelve. You start with two spare ships.
Step 5 - alien, pause, limits
An alien ship can drift in, fire back, and score 200 points when destroyed. P pauses; M mutes laser/explosion sounds. No touch controls, no save, no accounts - closing the tab ends the run.

Why trust these tools
- Ten-plus years of web tooling. The freetoolonline editorial team has shipped browser-based utilities since 2015. The goal has never changed: get you to a working output fast, without an install.
- No install, no sign-up. Open a tool and get a working output in seconds - nothing to download and no account to create. Tools that need heavy processing run it on our service, so even a low-powered machine gets the job done.
- Analytics stops at the page view. We measure which pages get visited, not what you type or upload inside a tool. There is nothing to sign in to and no profile is attached to your input.
- Open-source core components. The processing engines underneath (libheif, libde265, pdf-lib, terser, clean-css, ffmpeg.wasm, and others) are public and audit-able. We link to each one in its tool page's footer.
- Free, with or without ads. All tools are fully functional without sign-up. The Disable Ads button in the header is always available if you need a distraction-free run.
