Deinocheirus lived in the Late Cretaceous of Mongolia (Nemegt Formation), about 72-66 million years ago. Osmolska and Roniewicz named Deinocheirus mirificus in 1970 from giant arms; Lee and colleagues described much more complete skeletons in 2014. It is the largest known ornithomimosaur, with a sail-backed torso and arms about 2.4 m long.
