The spiral is parametric art tuned to look right - it is not a gravitational model, so it cannot support physics coursework or orbital predictions. It is not a map of the real sky either; no star catalogs are used, and each rendered point stands in for vastly more stars than any browser could draw. If you need to locate actual stars or constellations, a dedicated astronomy reference is the right tool. The scene also requires WebGL - on a browser without it, the page shows a plain notice instead.
